Position Summary:
As the Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you will support the Senior Client Manager in managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring client satisfaction. Your role will involve mentoring junior staff and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
* Review financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
* Train junior accountants, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
* Delegate and review tasks of their team members.
* Assist the Senior Client Manager in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing timely and accurate information.
* Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
* Help maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial data, correspondence, and project documentation.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and stay updated on changes in accounting standards and practices.
* Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including gathering necessary documentation and setting up client accounts.
Skills:
* Minimum of 7 years of Australian Accounting in Public Practice.
* Experience in a client-facing role in Public Accounting is a bonus.
* Proficiency in accounting software Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
* High level of integrity and professionalism.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
