The PoweringWA Branch is leading WA’s energy transformation and coordinating delivery of the critical infrastructure we need for a low-emissions, reliable power supply across the State.In this position, you will contribute substantially to the in-depth analysis of energy policy issues related to the future planning and operation of large-scale energy infrastructure and provide evidence-based advice to the Government.About the roleAs Senior Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and mitigating PoweringWA's risks in line with an established risk management framework.The role:Undertakes research and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to contribute to the identification and investigation of emerging energy policy issues and the development and evaluation of potential solutions.Builds and maintains relationships and networks within government, industry and the broader community to build trust and facilitate effective information sharing and communication.Manages policy projects, including project tracking and reporting, management of specialist consultancies as required, and formal project evaluation.Essential requirements for this role:Demonstrated experience in undertaking policy research, development, implementation, and evaluation.Demonstrated experience leading and managing policy projects.Demonstrated experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders to inform policy positions and implement change.Strong written communication skills in the delivery of compelling advice to government.About usHere at DEMIRS we value diversity and appreciate every individual’s perspective, bringing together a diverse and inclusive workforce to drive innovation and success.
