Key Responsibilities
Venue Operations
* Oversee day-to-day operations of Mid Air's event spaces, ensuring smooth functioning and efficient use of resources.
* Manage all aspects of venue hire, including bookings, client liaisons, and event execution.
* Develop and implement venue hire policies, procedures, and operational standards.
* Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditure, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
* Develop pricing packages, negotiate with clients, and manage invoicing and reconciliations.
* Lead and manage the venue team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
* Delegate tasks, supervise staff, and coordinate different departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
Client Relations
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the event planning and execution process.
* Handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Marketing and Business Development
* Collaborate with the marketing team to promote Mid Air's venues and attract new clients.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the venue's client base and increase revenue.
Health and Safety
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures for all events.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in venue management or a similar role.
* Proven track record of successfully managing commercial venues and increasing revenue.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
* Proficiency in event management software and MS Office suite.
* Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
