Join our bioprocess development team in Tulln to establish solutions that combat mycotoxins in the animal's digestive tract. You’ll work on microbial cultivation to produce enzymes that neutralize these toxins, enhancing animal health and performance. Conduct bioreactor experiments, analyze data, and contribute to lab operations. Ideal for those passionate about applied scientific research and animal health.

Your key responsibilities
* Perform and optimize microbial bioreactor and shake flask cultivations
* Plan and design experiments using Design of Experiment (DoE) approaches and tools
* Analyze your scientific results, learn from it, and challenge the scientific status quo together with the team
* Document your experiments and results based on the existing standards by writing protocols and reports
* Participate in the daily life and lab duties of the research center

* Type of employment: Full time (38.5 hours/week) temporary contract for 6 to 8 months
You bring
* Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a biotechnology related field (Biological engineering, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioprocess development, etc.)
* Understanding of DoE principles, a first experience in applying DoE methods will be a plus.
* Previous experience of microbial liquid cultivations, experience with bioreactors would be a plus
* Able to work independently and self-organize after definition of objectives
* Curious mindset and open to feedback
* Fluent English written and spoken, German is not necessary but basic skills would be a plus
