In an industrial research environment, we offer employment at the Competence Centre Automotive and Industrial Electronics GmbH (KAI). This role is ideal for those who enjoy working in a laboratory and are interested in materials research for semiconductor technology applications.
Responsibilities
* Implement and further develop sample preparation of test structures and components, including sawing, grinding, polishing, and ion polishing.
* Take photographs using light and scanning electron microscopes.
* Perform fatigue tests on test chips.
* Conduct material characterisation methods on wafers and wafer fragments.
* Be responsible for sample preparation tools.
* Detailed documentation and data preparation.
Your Profile
* A bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as materials science, physics, chemistry, or mechanical engineering.
* Experience in laboratory work, including optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and related documentation of results.
* Ability to work independently, reliability, hands-on approach, and effective communication with colleagues.
* An understanding of semiconductor materials and their properties, including crystal structures, characterisation methods, and mechanical stresses.
* Good communication skills in German and English.
