Lead Engineer Continuous Casting
Responsibilities
* Ensuring plant engineering/performance meets contractual requirements (e.g. schedule, technical completeness, technical standards, interfaces, operation, maintenance, safety requirements)
* Coordinating technical interfaces among engineering disciplines, plant areas, and other involved parties (e.g. schedule, technical completeness, technical standards, safety planning)
* Supporting technical clarifications with customers and other stakeholders (e.g. customer consultants, consortium partners, approval agencies, suppliers, and manufacturers)
* Conducting regular engineering team meetings (in coordination with project management)
* Supporting procurement, manufacturing, installation, cold and hot commissioning planning, and execution activities
* Ensuring design requirement (R´1) review execution
* Monitoring engineering compliance to safety requirements and contributing to risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP)
* Managing structured engineering change processes (e.g. documentation, schedule and cost impact, lessons learned)
* Coordinating the preparation of overall project engineering standard documents
* Coordinating and supporting the technical sales department in finding solutions during the pre-project phase
Requirements
* HTL, FH, or technical university degree
* Experience in mechanical/plant engineering (mechanical equipment)
* Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD 2D, 3D design programs (e.g. Inventor)
* Several years of professional experience in the steel mill or plant engineering sector
* Willingness to work abroad and high team orientation with respect to cultural differences
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written
* The minimum annual gross salary for this position is €46,600. A significantly higher salary is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
