For our team "Science of Quality", we are looking for an active, highly qualified individual to fill the position of Senior/Principal Scientist - Computational Fluid Mechanics. This role offers opportunities for career development and access to modern infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* We are seeking a candidate with expertise in developing and applying Eulerian and Lagrangian CFD methods on various length scales to simulate pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. These include:
o Developing competence in fluid mechanics within a pharmaceutical context
o Coupling of CFD methods to DEM powder modeling and molecular dynamics methods
o Focusing on pharmaceutical processes such as hot-melt extrusion, spray drying, manufacturing of nano-particles, and mixing of multiphase fluids
o Developing and applying coarse-grained models for molecular dynamics
o Leading the in-house CFD group
o Setting up models for multiphase computational fluid dynamics simulations
o Performing and analyzing multiphase computational fluid dynamics simulations
o Actively participating in project teams and scientific networks
o Writing project reports and publishing research in reputable journals
o Presenting results at internal meetings and international conferences
Requirements:
* A technical or natural scientific master's degree and interest in pursuing a PhD degree
* Interest in conducting research at the interface of basic science and industrial application
* Professional conduct and communication skills in interacting with international partners and colleagues
