Are you a dynamic and adaptable aged care leader ready for a new challenge? Work with a respected aged care provider as a Roving Assistant Facility Manager to support operations across seven residential care homes throughout Brisbane, with the majority of homes/focus being in the Bayside region.
This is a unique opportunity to make a broad impact across multiple facilities, provide hands-on leadership, and play a key role in driving consistency, quality, and care excellence.
About the Role
As the Roving Assistant Facility Manager, you'll support Facility Managers across various sites, stepping in to provide leadership, operational oversight, and staff mentorship where it's needed most. Your presence will help ensure continuity of care, drive compliance with aged care standards, and maintain high resident satisfaction.
You'll be a trusted go-to leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to build rapport quickly and adapt to the needs of different teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership and operational support across multiple facilities
2. Assist with day-to-day management including staffing, compliance, and resident wellbeing
3. Support the rollout of care improvement initiatives and best practice models
4. Step in during periods of leave or increased demand to maintain operational stability
5. Mentor staff and reinforce a consistent, person-centred care culture across all sites
6. Actively contribute to occupancy strategies and resident satisfaction goals
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior leadership role within aged care
* Advanced Nursing experience & Skillset (Must be an RN for this position)
Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations
Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, Quality Standards, and AN-ACC
Confident leadership style with a collaborative approach
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
Flexibility to travel between sites across Brisbane as required
Current driver's licence (essential for travel between sites)
Relevant post-graduate qualifications in management or healthcare
Sound knowledge of electronic care management systems
