INITIAL SITUATION
* A significant proportion of the door leaves produced by IFE are designed as bonded constructions. Two cover sheets made of aluminum are glued onto the profile frame and the sandwich core.
* According to the DIN 6701 bonding standard, a mathematical proof of strength is required for safety-relevant bondings, although the thin-layer adhesives used in cover sheet bonding are difficult to describe in terms of calculation. There is still no regulation or guideline on this.
* In order to be prepared for future optimization tasks and for possible changes in the interpretation of the standard, a calculation method for describing door leaf bonding should be found.
* In a preliminary work, the CZM (Cohesive Zone Modeling) method was already considered in more detail and the necessary parameters of the adhesive used at IFE were determined.
