Assistant Professor (post-doc): The University of Klagenfurt is seeking an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics to join the working group Stochastic Processes. The position is for six years and offers an opportunity to engage in autonomous scientific work, teaching, and research activities related to stochastic processes.

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must hold a Ph.D./Doctoral degree in mathematics or a related field from a national or international university by September 15, 2024, at the latest. Strong background in numerical methods for stochastic differential equations, computational stochastics, or analysis of stochastic differential equations is required. Fluency in English is essential, and German language skills (B2 or higher) are desired.
Job Description: The Assistant Professor will be responsible for autonomous scientific work, publication of research articles, active participation in research activities, teaching at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD levels, and supervision of students. Additional responsibilities include involvement in raising third-party funding, participation in university self-management, and public relations activities.
