Your future responsibilitiesAs a Senior Scientist in the Millimetre Wave Design and Verification department, you will be an integral part of our innovative team, taking on a variety of highly responsible roles. You will work on cutting-edge technologies and shape the development of cutting-edge RF and microwave circuits and systems.Take on the role of senior researcher in millimetre-wave technologies, driving the development of innovative solutions.Coordinate and manage challenging projects and ensure the successful implementation of research results.Provide technical leadership and ensure quality and efficiency in the development of RF and microwave systems.Generate and pursue new research ideas that significantly influence technical progress in millimetre-wave technologies.Responsible for the implementation of RF and microwave circuits and systems, both at the hardware and software level.Carry out extensive laboratory testing to ensure the performance and functionality of the systems developed.Represent the SAL project team both internally and externally, maintaining contact with partners and strengthening the research department's network.Your profilePhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics or similar fieldsAt least 4 years working experience in the electronics development (chip or PCB level) in the microwave frequency rangeExperience of leading small to medium sized teams in a project contextWorking experience with state-of-the-art commercial (Cadence, Synopsys, Altium, etc.) and/or open-source design tools (xschem, klayout, openlane, kicad, etc.)Hands-on skills including high-frequency measurements on PCB and/or on-waferInterest in broadening your scope from technical work to research projectsExcellent English skills; German is an advantageImportant Facts about SALDiverse research activities with many technical challenges.State-of-the-art laboratory facilities and equipment.Location in the heart of Europe in Austria – relocation support for non-European nationalities.Internal and external training opportunities for career development.Home office in Austria (max. 40%) and work from anywhere in the European Union possible (
