Your Responsibilities:
Support the Global Head of Indirect Tax in ensuring the proper setup in SAP and the implementation of Indirect Tax law changes.
Manage projects related to indirect tax processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results (e.g., e-invoicing implementation).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes in tax processes, systems, or compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving indirect tax processes.
Serve as a liaison between the tax department and various business units.
Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of indirect tax processes and procedures.
Work closely with IT teams to implement and enhance tax technology solutions for automation and efficiency.
Co-lead the implementation of an external VAT compliance tool.
Stay abreast of developments in EPR (Extended Producer Responsibilities) and plastics packaging tax compliance regulations.
Your ideal profile:
A university degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, Economics, or equivalent.
At least 5 years of progressive work experience in Finance and Accounting with expertise in Indirect tax/VAT.
ERP SAP experience is mandatory.
Experience with VAT automation and compliance, familiarity with tax engine and tax compliance tools is an advantage.
Fluent communication skills in English (both oral and written) are required.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office; desired knowledge of Alteryx and Power BI.
Effective listening and communication skills; highly developed interpersonal skills.
Proactive and hands-on attitude, goal-oriented.
Structured working style with an eye for detail.
Team-oriented and process-driven.
