We are looking to recruit an eCommerce Acceleration Director to join our multi-divisional CDMO function, taking ownership of our one L’Oréal eCommerce strategy to drive growth. This role oversees the L’Oréal Groupe ANZ growth strategy across D2C and indirect e-commerce (pure-players and e-retail). This key role will partner closely with our Chief Commercial Officer to embed indirect e-commerce growth plans into our key customer joint business partnerships. In addition to this, this role will partner closely with IT to ensure the e-commerce technology roadmap and capability is fit for purpose.
Reporting to the CDMO, this is a key strategic role in the business and requires stakeholder management, e-commerce expertise, inspiring leadership, and innovative thinking at its core.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
eCommerce Performance and Insights
* Build a deep understanding of the eCommerce market and growth opportunities across the L’Oréal ANZ group.
* Identify and scale activation capabilities across eCommerce such as e-merchandising and Beauty Tech.
* Lead the orchestration of one L’Oréal eCommerce activities to support online growth.
* Provide insights and trends on eCommerce acceleration across indirect customers and D2C to the divisions, brands, and Chief Customer Office.
* Oversee the management of eCommerce projects across the CDMO.
* Provide oversight on the multi-divisional joint business planning around eCommerce such as joint business planning, access to data, on-platform performance, innovation roadmap, and on-platform consumer experience.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams on designing and implementing pilot tests (innovation).
* Support the divisions with business case development and monitoring of implementations.
Governance and Stakeholder Management
* Maintain monthly reports on eCommerce portfolio and allocate budgets (including innovation).
* Govern overall eCommerce effectiveness (traffic and conversion).
* Act as the local eCommerce counterpart on behalf of the divisions with L’Oréal Global and Zone eCommerce stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance to eCommerce standards (digital and legal) - ensuring L’Oréal meet legal requirements.
* Partner with media teams specifically on performance media and retailer media to optimise e-commerce performance.
Best Practice, Innovation and Capability Uplift
* Establish and maintain best practice eCommerce processes and ways of working, following golden rules and global standards (including owning playbooks).
* Develop learning and development program on eCommerce across digital and marketing.
* Drive and encourage the identification, experimentation, and delivery of new eCommerce ideas with media agencies and divisions.
* Understand changing eCommerce landscape and evaluate opportunities for adoption.
* Support the development of an eCommerce Centre of Excellence highlighting the future of beauty.
ABOUT YOU:
* Experience in a similar role with exposure across D2C, D2E, and B2B channels.
* Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, market trends, and industry best practices.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement skills to influence, inform, and inspire.
* Strong understanding of pure players and e-Retailers, indirect market trends, and marketplace dynamics. Amazon experience preferable.
* Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective eCommerce strategies.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
