The purpose of this role is to deliver on the state-wide workforce reporting requirements, transforming the results of analysis into information that can be communicated to stakeholders using dashboards and reports and focusing on data quality to provide confidence for making decisions on a single version of the truth.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
* Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of presenting data in clear, professional formats using visualizations, reports, and presentations.
* Advanced proficiency in Power BI, capable of creating user-friendly, audience-tailored reports.
* Expertise in SQL for querying and transforming data.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for performing tasks and data analysis.
* Experience with Azure cloud platform, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, a general understanding of human resources functions and DSS (Decision Support System) experience would be advantageous.
* Works collaboratively to develop and implement solutions. Seeks to address client needs within the defined scope of responsibility. (SFIA: CEXP -4)
* Provides advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards. Reviews and improves usage and application of methods and tools. (SFIA: METL – 4)
* Defines, documents and executes small projects or sub-projects. Agrees project approach with stakeholders and prepares realistic project plans (including scope, schedule, quality, risk and communication plans). Tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate. (SFIA: PROF -4)
* Selects and applies non-standard business intelligence tools and techniques to provide insights and aid decision-making. Selects, acquires and integrates data for analysis. (SFIA: BINT-4)
