About the project
EBRAINS is a European digital research infrastructure for brain research. Its ambition is to be an enabler of brain science in Europe, offering state-of-the art resources of data, models, tools and computing platforms to the scientific community. EBRAINS is currently further developing its service offering, gaining maturity and robustness, improving its user experience, and broadening the community of neuroscientists and developers who benefit from its resources and services. As a partner in this project consortium, the Medical University Innsbruck is responsible for coordination of Education & Training activities, in particular supporting the different partners in delivering high-quality education activities and developing new concepts for collaborative, decentralized and digital neuroscience education. To support this mission, we are looking for a motivated project manager to join our project team.
Your tasks
* Independent project and time management within an international research environment
* Coordination and communication with European project partners and stakeholders
* Support in planning, implementing, and documenting education and training activities
* Contribution to the development and improvement of education and training concepts
* Participation in international meetings and events (online and occasionally on site)
Your qualifications
* Completed university degree in a relevant field (e.g. life sciences, education, project management, or similar); background in neuroscience is a plus
* Experience in project management, ideally in the context of European research projects
* Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in German is an asset
* Strong organisational skills and a structured, proactive work approach
* Confidence in working with common office and collaboration tools (MS Office, Zoom, project planning software)
* Strong communication and intercultural skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
* Experience in supporting or coordinating international educational programmes, online learning formats or scientific communities is an advantage

For the intended employment group IVa, the collective agreement minimum salary is currently € 47.464,20 gross per year and may possibly be increased based on the collective agreement regulations through the crediting of previous experience specific to the job. Employment level: 40 hours/week, third-party funded, from 1st June 2025, limited to one year, with the option for prolongation.
