An Application Engineer is a key person who combines technical expertise and customer focus to provide innovative solutions and implement our products efficiently.
In this role, you will apply and develop measurement techniques to optimize and validate electric powertrains and support customers and internal teams. This is crucial for quality assurance and increasing testing efficiency in the research and development of electric drives (for vehicles and industrial applications).
You will be part of the application team, which is also continuously developing in the field of combustion measurement technology, optical combustion diagnostics and flow measurement technology. As a link between test bench and development engineers you ensure the best possible measurement technology solutions.
* Implementation and validation of measurement systems for analyzing electric powertrains and interpreting signals
* Data analysis and plausibility check of measured values as well as development of algorithms for evaluation and optimization of the drive
* Close cooperation with interdisciplinary development teams, integration of user knowledge into product development, as well as customer support and ensuring their requirements for the measurement systems
* Identification and resolution of technical problems and contribution of solution proposals to improve measurement accuracy (3rd level support)
* Creating and maintaining technical documentation and test reports, as well as contributing to publications and training
* Actively contributing to the further development of measurement technologies and methods
* Planning and conducting laboratory or test bench tests to verify the performance and efficiency of measurement technology on electric powertrains or similar industrial applications (e.g. aviation, grid analysis, etc.)
* Completed education (technical university, university of applied sciences or similar) with a focus on electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a comparable study program
* At least 3 years of professional experience in the development of electric powertrains
* In-depth knowledge in the field of high-voltage and power electronics as well as experience in the development of electric powertrains
* Experience with measuring instruments and methods such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems, etc.
* Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills
* Very good knowledge of German and English
* Willingness to travel for business up to 25 percent
