About the Role
As an Area Manager at The Grove Academy, you’ll oversee multiple centres, ensuring excellence in operations, compliance, and staff support. Your leadership will directly contribute to maintaining high standards and fostering a collaborative, positive culture across our centres. Key Responsibilities Include:
* Staff Management: Support and guide our amazing staff across centres by helping with staffing needs, conducting regular appraisals, and ensuring new team members feel welcomed with thorough inductions.
* Training & Mentorship: Foster a culture of growth by providing continuous training, mentorship, and development opportunities, so our team always has the tools to succeed and excel in their roles.
* Compliance & Audits: Keep everything running smoothly by conducting regular audits across centres, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the Assessment and Rating (A&R) process to maintain high standards.
* Regulatory & Licensing Compliance: Ensure our centres always meet regulatory and licensing requirements, policies, and procedures, so we can provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children in our care.
* Director Support: Be the go-to person for Centre Directors by providing operational support, assisting with challenges, helping with key action items, and overseeing the start-up of new centres.
* Incident & Risk Management: Respond to any incidents or complaints with care, ensuring timely action is taken, documented, and reported to keep our centres safe and running smoothly.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of our centres, ensuring everything is running smoothly and efficiently, and regularly assess operations for areas of improvement.
* Quality & Improvement: Lead the charge in implementing and evaluating the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and self-assessments to continually improve educational practices and routines in our centres.
* Leadership & Team Collaboration: Bring the team together by organising cluster and Assistant Director meetings, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and success across all centres.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this pivotal role, we are looking for an experienced, passionate, and proactive leader. You will bring:
* Significant experience in managing multiple early childhood education centres or large teams.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
* A deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* A genuine passion for creating meaningful, positive impacts in children’s lives and the community.
