Our Federal Government Client is currently looking for a SENIOR USER INTERFACE DESIGNER to join their team on a long-term engagement.
Australian Citizens with Baseline security clearance will be regarded for this role.

Our Federal Government client was established in 2019, focusing on safeguarding the safety, health, and well-being of individuals receiving aged care by serving as a national regulator for aged care services. With a vision of empowering consumers and promoting high-quality care, the organisation ensures providers meet expected standards while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Its Digital Learning Team develops and delivers educational solutions to equip staff with the skills needed to effectively use technical tools, systems, and processes. This includes creating resources like manuals, videos, and presentations, as well as facilitating workshops and webinars to support ongoing learning and proficiency.
Key duties and responsibilities
Content creation
* Design and edit engaging visual content, including graphics, videos, and interactive educational games to enhance learning materials and foster user engagement.
* Work closely with the DLT and key stakeholders to brainstorm and develop graphic design materials for diverse learning solutions including user guides, presentations, eLearning modules, and web pages.
* Create original design concepts using software and hand-drawn techniques, emphasising effective use of colour, typography, imagery, and layout to address specific learning needs and objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
* Collaborate with the Branding and Communication teams to ensure consistent application of corporate branding across all design materials.
* Provide expert advice on graphic design matters relating to learning solutions, ensuring high-quality design services are consistently delivered across projects.
Project management
* Oversee the design and development of the graphic design component for all project materials, applying best practices in content management systems to enhance accessibility and usability.
* Coordinate and manage design projects by planning workloads, establishing work practices, and prioritising tasks to ensure timely delivery and compliance with established standards.
Key Capabilities
* Three or more years of experience in a professional graphic design position
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience
* Expertise in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma) for creating visual content
* Photography and videography experience and proficiency with photo and video-editing software
* Excellent relationship-building skills and willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback to build and sustain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
* Ability to effectively prioritise requests while maintaining high standards and accuracy
* Sound research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Understand and actively demonstrate the APS Code of Conduct and Values
