Head of Sales - Commercial (Solar & Renewables)

Now with Australian operations in full swing, we require the services of an experienced Sales leader across their Commercial Division to spearhead new large scale business development activities as well as overseeing the day to day of a small but experienced Commercial sales team.
About the Role
As Head of Sales - Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy, identifying and securing new large scale business opportunities, and expanding the business' market footprint.
You will lead and develop a team of dedicated sales professionals, ensuring they have the tools and support necessary to excel. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing complex tendering processes, negotiating contracts, and fostering long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry.
Offering flexibility between home and office, the position can be based from either Hawthorn, Richmond or Torquay offices.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and be passionate about delivering cutting-edge renewable energy solutions to large commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial sales strategy, focusing on business growth and long-term market expansion.
* Drive lead generation and business development efforts to identify and secure new commercial opportunities.
* Oversee and actively participate in tendering processes, ensuring successful bids for large-scale renewable energy projects.
* Lead and mentor a small but established team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and professional development.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, government bodies, and industry partners.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of projects and customer satisfaction.
* Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the commercial energy, renewables, infrastructure or related sectors.
* A strong track record of business development, tendering, and contract negotiation, particularly in securing large-scale projects.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive revenue and market expansion.
* Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
* Strong relationship-building skills, with experience engaging with C-level executives, government bodies, and commercial partners.
* A results-driven mindset, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* A passion for sustainability and the renewable energy industry, with a deep understanding of industry challenges and opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Australian CEO, on offer here is a base salary of $150k + super, with significant uncapped commissions on offer earned on each sale.
