The Clinical Department of Translational Immunodermatology is offering a position as a University Assistant with a doctorate/Ph.D., working 20 hours per week or more. As part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, you will work at the interface of bioinformatics, data science and immunology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize cutting-edge technologies and data analysis to explore the mechanisms of immunological diseases and support innovative research projects in the field of immunodermatology.
Job Duties:
* Development, planning and implementation of scientific projects in the field of immunodermatology with a focus on biomedical research
* Close cooperation with the teams of the University Hospital, the Clinical Department and the Center for Medical Research
* Support in the preparation of research proposals and scientific publications as well as in the acquisition of third-party funding
* Supporting research project leaders in the supervision of doctoral and diploma students
* Presentation and publication of research results on national and international platforms
* Establishing and maintaining national and international collaborations
* Preparation and supervision of ethics proposals in research projects
* Support in the implementation of courses (human medicine studies and Ph.D. studies in medical sciences) at the JKU
Your Qualifications:
* Completed Ph.D. studies in human medicine, veterinary medicine, biology or a related field
* Interest or initial experience in laboratory management and coordination of multiple parallel projects
* Practical and theoretical experience with molecular and cell biological models (e.g. cell culture, animal models, working with primary biological materials)
* Proven international experience and mobility (e.g. research stays, conference participation)
* Very good computer skills, especially in data analysis and scientific documentation
* Interdisciplinary thinking and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
* Initial experience in writing scientific publications, research proposals and ethics applications
* Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level); basic knowledge of German and French or other languages an advantage
* Willingness to learn, apply and establish new methods
* Ability to work independently and autonomously and to take initiative in establishing new collaborations
* Enjoy working in a team and open, solution-oriented communication

* On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 4,932.90 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
