Shape the world’s most liveable city
As Civil Engineering Project Manager (m/f/d), you will contribute to diverse projects within energy transition with the goal of decarbonising the city of Vienna by 2040, such as:
1. Modernisation of existing energy production facilities (e.g. upgrading a waste incineration plant on the basis of the circular economy)
2. Construction of new alternative energy generation plants (e.g. biomass, wind farm, geothermal etc)
3. Hydrogen production or application (e.g. construction of hydrogen production facilities)
4. Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity (e.g. either construction or modernisation of existing plant for combined generation of electricity, heating and cooling energy such as natural gas and renewable energy sources)
5. Waste generation and management (e.g. construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge and phosphorus recovery).
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Manage construction sites and coordinate all execution stakeholders on the sites (client, contractors, partners).
2. Manage, develop, and execute comprehensive project plans for the construction of energy infrastructure projects.
3. Manage stakeholders involved on construction sites, establishing clear communication channels and fostering collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
4. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the construction of energy infrastructure projects, prepare contingency plans.
5. Oversee quality assurance processes to meet industry standards, client standards, and regulatory/legal compliance requirements.
6. Manage project budgets, implement cost control measures, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
7. Define and control project timelines and milestones identifying the main decision gates and ensuring the relevant stakeholders are consulted accordingly.
8. Resource management by coordinating project teams, managing budgets, and interacting with the procurement department of Wien Energie.
9. Regulatory compliance: secure necessary permits and ensure adherence to regulations and standards (building codes etc.)

About You:
For this role, it would be beneficial to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Completed degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. 8+ years demonstrable project management with site experience in the construction sector (industrial building, energy or transport infrastructure sector).
3. Proficiency in project management during planning and construction phases.
4. Ability to negotiate, coordinate and manage conflicts between the different stakeholders involved in a construction project (client, authorities, suppliers, appointed subject matter experts)
5. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
6. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
7. Fluency in German and English and high IT literacy.
8. Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
9. Willingness to work outdoors.

Remuneration –the salary for this position will be at least €61,040. Overpayment may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
