This will be the foundation development role in the group, working alongside a passionate, highly motivated and dedicated Director to grow the property development profile and pipeline in South-East Queensland. The opportunity will appeal to a Development Management allrounder with 5-7 years industry experience in development projects and 3-5 years in a management role, who is interested in aligning with an integrated building and development group to develop and deliver quality projects.
The group is focused on finding people who align with their values and reputation for delivering outstanding outcomes for investors, buyers and end-users, producing a quality product and achieving profitable and sustained business growth into the future. As the Development Manager within the group, they are looking for someone capable of managing every stage of the development process, including site evaluation and acquisition, project concept and design, planning & approvals, project financial oversight, through to the settlement process. The business is privately funded, with the ability to also enter into various agreements including JV’s and equity partnership. There is an initial focus on the luxury apartment market for sites in the Gold Coast.

They are selectively looking for a Development Manager possessing a background within the development industry, in addition to degree qualifications in urban planning or development, property economics or finance, construction or project management. Familiarity using industry software incorporating the management of feasibility analysis, project finances, project legal, contracts documentation and risk compliance will be beneficial.
Based on your current experience, you may have been involved in:
1. Preparing detailed feasibility studies – analysing project viability, appropriate finance structures and factoring in risk management
2. Project financial & cash flow modelling and budget preparation of development projects
3. Overseeing project concept, detailed design, planning and development approvals
4. Input into preparing sales & marketing strategies and associated documents
5. Guiding & influencing Local Councils, Statutory Authorities, consultants and community consultation
6. Effectively managing cost inputs, key milestones, construction deliverables and profitability for projects under your control
7. Guiding projects to market, based on research, buyer trends and with the profile of the end user at the forefront of decision making.
