The Opportunity:
A position has become available for a General Manager to lead our Castle Towers team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Castle Towers is one of Australia’s busiest centres of +116,000sqm GLA and 300 retailers, located in the Hills District of Sydney. This is an exciting time to join as the centre will go through redevelopment and is part of a significant Town Centre master plan transformation.
Partnering with the wider QIC Real Estate team and other corporate divisions, you will add value to current and future strategic directions, ensuring the delivery of financial, operational, and marketing goals. With 4 leaders reporting to you and an overall team of 15, you will lead, coach, inspire and motivate everyone to continued success, ensuring a culture that resonates with QIC’s purpose and high performance.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Accountability for ensuring compliance with regulation and positive audit results.
* Manage the centre to the highest possible standards of presentation and risk management.
* Develop retailer relationships to achieve mutually beneficial business outcomes.
* Maximise strong financial returns, manage expenditures, rental payments and debtor’s control, and implement three income generating initiatives.
* Manage the marketing function to ensure outperformance of sales and traffic outcomes.
* Attend as a Duty Manager on a rotational basis.
About You:
We are seeking a leader with a passion for driving team success. You will not only manage but empower your team to achieve their goals. Your exceptional communication and influencing skills will enable you to navigate challenges effectively, ensuring smooth operations and a high-performance culture.
With prior experience as a Centre Manager in a regional Australian shopping centre, you will possess strong analytical abilities and a deep understanding of retail lease legislation, as well as other relevant legal frameworks, including the federal Trade Practices Act. Your expertise will allow you to effectively manage complex requirements while fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
