ABOUT THE COMPANY
With a strong reputation for quality of service in their field catering for the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention & Event) groups, this company is very well respected. Due to their relationships with Australian travel suppliers and industry partners, they are able to offer a unique range of packages to their loyal clients. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager who has worked within the inbound travel sector to their senior management team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the Managing Director you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of inbound tourism operations encompassing planning, coordinating and executing plans. Some of the key functions are as follows:
* Supervising staff and managing allocation of work to operations team (12+ staff) including duty roster to ensure timely response to clients on enquiries, confirmation of bookings, preparing tour itineraries and issuance of service vouchers
* Coordinating and communicating with Sales/ Quotations and Product teams to develop tour packages and tour itineraries for clients
* Liaison with clients, tour leaders, suppliers and local guides to resolve any issue arising from tour operations
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships operations team members, with agents and suppliers
* Providing leadership, guidance, counselling and training to operations team to maintain good operational procedures and quality service standards in meeting and exceeding clients’ expectations
* Ensuring proper maintenance of documentation and records, reconciling with tour budgets and debriefing after tours
* Providing input to management team in developing budget and strategic planning
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this role, you will bring:
* Sound experience, having led a successful team, managing operations within the inbound tourism industry
* Experience in strong leadership skills
* Good problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
* Excellent organizational skills
* Good attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Flair with people handling
* Fluency in a foreign language (e.g. Mandarin or Hindi) as advantage
