Job Description
Your role at Dynatrace
Our FinOps team is responsible for forecasting, observing, and reporting cloud cost development, driving cloud cost optimization initiatives for multiple cloud providers. We’re striving to enable our fellow Dynatracers across all levels, roles, and business units to keep track of their cloud costs with various tools and automations.
Your job as a Cloud engineer is implementing, automating and maintaining reporting tools, and consulting engineers in R&D on their own initiatives to optimize cloud costs.
Your responsibilities
* Create forecasts for cloud services together with engineers
* Consult on basic design choices for cloud services with a focus on cost and efficiency
* Keep track of ongoing cloud cost optimization initiatives
* Analysis of billing data
* Independent design, implementation, and maintenance of reporting tools and automations with the Dynatrace Platform (Dashboards, Notebooks & Workflows) and in our cloud accounts
Qualifications
* Technical knowledge of software development processes and tools, cloud services, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
* Good communicator / not afraid to start discussions
* Creating queries/scripts (willing to learn DQL, know Python, JS/TS, ideally Java)
* Basic technical knowledge of at least one of the cloud providers AWS / Azure / GCP
* Thinking beyond a technical solution – weighing cost vs. benefit
* Knowing how cloud resources/costs can affect a business

Compensation and rewards
Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
