About the Engagement:
Green Light is looking for Senior Change Manager – Master Data & SAP to join our client.
6 months Contract – ongoing.
Based Perth Airport Ways / WFH occasionally.
Our client is a leading mining company operating on a global scale, committed to innovation, efficiency, and sustainable resource extraction. As they continue their digital transformation journey, they seek a highly experienced Senior Change Manager with expertise in Master Data and SAP to drive the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and business improvements.
Role Overview
The Senior Change Manager will lead the change management strategy for a large-scale SAP implementation and Master Data transformation project. This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless business integration, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption across operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, MDG, ECC, MM, PM, FICO), strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles, and proven experience in organizational change, training, and communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Change Management Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy for SAP and Master Data projects, aligning with business objectives.
Apply industry best practices (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR, Kotter’s Model) to ensure a structured approach to change.
Lead impact assessments to identify risks, challenges, and mitigation plans for organizational and process changes.
Work closely with project sponsors, leadership, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and commitment to change initiatives.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build strong relationships with executive leadership, functional teams, and end users to drive engagement.
Develop and execute communication plans to ensure transparency, clarity, and alignment across all levels of the organization.
Facilitate workshops, town halls, and stakeholder meetings to address concerns and gather feedback.
Serve as a trusted advisor to key business leaders, providing guidance on change impacts and adoption strategies.
3. SAP & Master Data Transformation
Ensure smooth business transition during SAP S/4HANA and Master Data Management (MDM) implementations.
Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams to understand data structures, workflows, and system configurations.
Drive data governance strategies, ensuring data integrity, standardization, and compliance with corporate policies.
Collaborate with IT, Data Governance, and Business Process Owners to align master data changes with operational needs.
4. Training & Adoption
Develop and implement learning & development programs tailored for different user groups.
Design and deliver training materials, user guides, and e-learning content to support SAP and Master Data changes.
Track user adoption metrics and provide targeted support to improve system usage and compliance.
Establish a change champion network to support end-user training and sustainment efforts.
5. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Define KPIs and success metrics to measure change effectiveness.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess user adoption, process efficiency, and areas for improvement.
Implement feedback loops to refine change strategies and support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Experience & Skills
1. Technical Expertise
Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG (Master Data Governance), and legacy SAP systems (ECC, MM, PM, FICO, etc.).
Deep understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data lifecycle management.
Knowledge of mining operations, supply chain, finance, and asset management workflows in SAP.
2. Change Management & Leadership
8+ years of experience in organizational change management within large-scale ERP and Master Data projects.
Formal training or certification in Change Management methodologies (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent).
Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Proven experience delivering training, communication, and adoption strategies for complex IT transformations.
3. Soft Skills & Business Acumen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams across multiple locations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.
Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into effective change strategies.
Background in mining, energy, or heavy industry sectors is highly desirable.
