Do you have a strong background in service and production management?
Our Crestmead branch is looking for a Service and Production Manager to enhance efficiency, boost productivity, and drive operational excellence for a rapidly growing national brand. This newly created role will play a key part in our expansion strategy.
In this role, you will optimise labour efficiency, manage parts and repairs, oversee safety compliance, and lead new equipment deployment. Your focus will be on reducing breakdowns, improving rental availability, and ensuring fast turnaround times to keep us ahead of competitors.
As part of our growth strategy, you will streamline service operations to meet market needs while upholding safety and productivity. Your leadership will drive urgency, execution, and continuous improvement across all service and production functions, delivering a superior customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and managing service teams to ensure efficiency and high-performance operations.
* Overseeing machine turnaround times, repairs, maintenance, and new equipment deployment.
* Developing and implementing strategies to reduce equipment breakdowns and rental diversions.
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and equipment inspection policies.
* Driving operational excellence through structured processes and continuous improvement.
* Managing labour efficiency and workforce allocation to meet business demands.
* Enhancing service delivery to maximise revenue and profitability.
* Collaborating with internal teams to align service strategies with overall business growth.
* Fostering a proactive and safety-driven culture within the service and production team.
* Applying Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements:
* Tertiary degree in a relevant field, such as business administration/management, operations management, engineering, or logistics.
* Proven experience in service and production management, preferably in a national or international company.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and implement operational improvements.
* Excellent leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating service teams.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
* A results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving operational efficiency and achieving performance targets.
* Certification in Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen certification is highly desirable.
* Experience in the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.
* Track record of improvements in existing operations are highly desirable.
