About the roleLocation: Austria SchwechatHours: Full TimeType of Contract: PermanentMake PROJECTSReal!For our location in Schwechat, we are currently looking for a Technical Project Manager (m/f/d). In this role, you are responsible for managing investment projects for Schwechat in line with Borealis specific procedures and Engineering Design Standards in order to deliver the project according to its targets. You will report to the Engineering Manager Schwechat/Monza and work in close cooperation with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:Lead the overall project management process, from scope definition to project closure.Ensure project delivery aligns with objectives in HSE, quality, timing, and cost.Manage multiple Low and Medium Complexity Projects, or a High Complexity Project, within Technical Development and Engineering.Act as a role model for HSE performance and enforce high standards for the project team.Report and communicate with the Steering Committee regarding scope definition, cost, progress, and safety performance.Establish and manage contractor and procurement activities, including closing contracts, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring legal compliance.Conduct effective risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential and actual risks.Take corrective actions and implement proactive mitigation plans when necessary.Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through continuous communication and management to achieve project goals.About you As our ideal candidate, you hold a Masters degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Systems. You have at least 3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a strong background in the chemical or petrochemical industry, including the ability to read PI&Ds. You possess thorough multi discipline technical knowledge and have completed intermediate level Project Management Training, with external certification being a beneficial asset. You ensure compliance with SCIS/SIL classification studies and prioritize safety as your number one concern. Your strong organizational and problem solving skills, coupled with a solution oriented approach, enable you to effectively drive projects to success.
