Topcon Positioning Business Unit is looking for a motivated and committed Business Development Specialist Road Construction.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Business Development Specialist Road Construction will ensure the sales of Road construction products by developing the market, both at the distributor and end customer-side, and develop the market presence of Topcon in Road Construction for DACH and East Europe (Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic).
CORE JOB DUTIES
* Work to build up a network with the most important customers/partners/stakeholders in the area.
* Responsible for maximizing the sales of the road construction portfolio within the designated region in line with the agreed sales budgets.
* Understand the road construction industry and create business with existing and new stakeholders.
* Work closely with Topcon’s Sales and Marketing Teams to provide business solutions.
* Creating and supporting events for distributors, subsidiaries, authorities, universities, and similar.
* Get in contact with tendering authorities and private project owners to add Topcon’s Road construction portfolio to tenders.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
* Civil engineer degree or similar in Business and/or Construction Industry.
* 5+ years’ working experience in road construction and/or construction business.
* Salesmen with a technical understanding.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German language.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
* Affinity for digitization.
* Ability to build trusted long-term professional relationships.
* A basic know-how for survey industry will be an advantage.
* Able to present in front of decision-makers in local and English language.
* Willingness to work in a virtual team.
* Language skills: fluent English and German (both verbally and in written form).
* The knowledge of another European language will be an advantage.
This is a hybrid role working remote in Germany or UK.
