Human Resources Executive / Assistant Manager, Oceania
Play a key role in providing HR expertise, Payroll processing and advice for the entire spectrum of HR functions including employee experience, talent development, recruitment, compensation, training & development supporting the organization in achieving its business goals and complying to corporate /regional guidelines.
Create and maintain human resources awareness with the management team, assisting them to develop a positive employee experience embracing BDP culture & values.
Responsibilities:
• Recruitment
* Work closely with hiring managers on the recruitment needs to have positions filled effectively and efficiently. This includes development of accurate Job Descriptions.
* Utilize optimum recruitment approaches to source and provide a qualified candidates’ pool.
* Assist with preparation of fortnightly and monthly payroll runs.
* Work with Interstate offices to gather payroll information, i.e. new users, hours worked, overtime etc for payroll processing.
* Manage outsourced payroll company who prepare payroll reports and bank files for processing.
* Manage payroll related compliance requirement like STP reporting, payroll tax lodgment and super payment.
* Ensure payroll accounts are balanced at end of each month.
* Maintain payroll and HRIS system with necessary system updates required from time to time.
• Employee Engagement
* Work closely with business to improve and enhance employee engagement with myriad of HR programs.
* Work closely with TED (Training Education Department) in implementing learning & development strategies which are aligned to the corporate and business strategy.
* Ensure that company is in compliance with the local labour regulations.
* Keep abreast of the market and consistent reviews to stay competitive.
• Talent Management and Building Talent Pipeline
* Work closely with leadership in identifying and building talent pipeline.
* Drive a performance-based culture with a robust performance review process.
* Responsible for Employee Relations’ activities including handling matters related to disciplinary actions, grievances, counselling, staff misconduct, advising and guiding management on the best practices for employer and employee relations including all relevant employment laws.
* Establish good relationships with relevant industry players eg HR practitioners/consultants and related government agencies and provide advice accordingly.
* Review and update PSA BDP’s Human Resource Policies including the Code of Conduct in line with local legislations.
* Represent and play a key role in supporting and executing Corporate/Regional HR priorities at the country level.
Academic Qualifications/Experiences
* Tertiary Education preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.
* Diploma in Industrial Relations an added advantage.
* 5 - 7 years of Human Resources experience with MNCs at supervisory /managerial level.
* Experience in the same industry including freight forwarding, warehouse/contract logistics.
* Strong knowledge of local labour laws and regulations and payroll experience.
* Good Microsoft Office Skills in Excel and Word.
