What's the role?
With the huge variety of product applications in the Business Unit (BU), consolidated with the global demand from more than 120 Market Organizations, this role triggers an interesting opportunity for the entire Hilti end-to-end supply chain. The Materials Manager BU assures the reliable supply of all BU product group from Sourcing to Market Organizations worldwide, in line with the strategic planning/ focusing of the BU and Hilti’s global logistic’s strategy.

The Hilti Group supplies the construction and energy industries worldwide with technologically leading products, system solutions, software and services. Our plant in Thüringen (Vorarlberg) with around 600 employees is the competence centre for production and is regarded as the lead plant for digitalisation, machining and assembly.
What does the role involve?
In this exciting role you will be responsible for the Supply Planning and its execution along the supply chain including in-house production planning and external suppliers. You will also support developing and implementing materials management strategies & concepts along the Supply Chain benefiting product costs and new products introduction. Furthermore, you will evaluate and track performance of related suppliers/ plants and execute improvement activities with related stakeholders. You will be in close contacts with Hilti Market Organizations, Business Units, Plants & Suppliers to manage all stock shortages and ensuring that appropriate action is taken to resolve and coordinate with transportation and warehousing to optimize transport and storage costs. You will take ownership of relevant KPI's to ensure operational excellence for your product portfolio and identify and drive opportunities for improvement.

What you need is:
1. Degree in economics, engineering, or relevant logistics experience
2. Expertise in Supply Chain processes (incl. Sales & Operations Planning)
3. Proficient in project management, MS Office (especially Excel), MS Power Query and Power BI, SAP/APO, and Blue Yonder (JDA)
4. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
5. Proactive and results-driven approach
6. Fluent in English
