We are recruiting a freelance Support Engineer (Deskside) for a major project at an Austrian Client based in Graz, Austria:
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Pay Rate: Negotiable
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Complete detailed reports listing requests to technical assistance, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved.
2. Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from clients or other employees.
3. Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
4. Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware.
5. Maintain a working log detailing all required system updates, as well as the date of completion.
6. Attend in-person meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems.
7. Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions.
8. Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company.
9. Scheduled travels to other offices as per business requirements.
Technical Knowledge:
1. Windows & Mac operating system knowledge.
2. Advantage if Linux knowledge is present. Not mandatory.
3. Good knowledge on rebuilding Mac and Windows.
4. Good knowledge about basic Windows and Mac troubleshooting.
5. Should have knowledge in hosting virtual meetings.
