Assistant Venue Manager / Hospitality Manager
As our Assistant Venue Manager / Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for managing our café and champion our party venue. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Hospitality management, with exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving success.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Partner with the Venue Manager on all Food and Beverage business and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to the Chief Operating Officer based on market analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
2. Champion Health and safety; adhere to safe food handling.
3. Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team and oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with Area51's strategic plan.
4. Identify areas for improvement and implement streamlined workflows.
5. Cultivate relationships and maintain open communication channels with management, stakeholders, and the public as required.
6. Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure all Events/Parties are tailored to meet individual customer expectations, preferences, and requirements. Interact with suppliers/customers to understand their needs and ensure an exceptional experience.
7. GX replies for all Café/Party issues.
8. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain systematic processes to adhere to required standards.
9. Collaborative Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, entertainers, and vendors to ensure a steady supply of materials, decorations, and resources.
10. Innovation and Creativity: Keep a pulse on industry trends and customer feedback to consistently innovate and refresh the Café/Party offerings.
11. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on the success of new Café/Party concepts, customer feedback, and departmental performance. Use insights to refine strategies and future plans.
Experience and Skills required:
1. 3+ years in senior management experience.
2. Food Safety Supervisor (highly desired).
3. Demonstrated experience in event planning, process improvement, and team management.
4. Strong creative thinking and innovation skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
6. Proficiency in project management and coordination.
7. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Proficiency in using software for project management and reporting.
9. Familiarity with child safety regulations and guidelines.
In addition to the attributes mentioned above, to be considered for this role you will need:
1. Full Right to work in Australia.
2. Current Working with Children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain.
3. Current CPR / First Aid Certificate, or ability to obtain.
This role is a full-time role, with weekend work on a rotating roster.
