Your new company
A market leading FMCG wholesaler based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. This company provides produce to different types of organisations, where all employees band together to drive the business forward. Due to continued growth, there is now an opportunity for a full time Office and Finance Manager to join the team.
Your new role
Based in a new office, this varied position will allow you to take on an operational role within the company. You will manage the office and finances, whilst being a trusted "right hand" to the owners. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in warehouse operations, general office administration, supplier communications and be accountable for bookkeeping. This role will give you the insight and understanding into the process of running a small business and being integral to the day-to-day operations. This is not just a job, but a career move that offers a steep learning curve and the chance to leverage your organisational and financial skills.
Working hours for this role will be 6am - 1pm or 7am - 2pm.
Tasks will include:
* Accounts payable including allocating invoices to orders
* Credit card and bank reconciliations
* Accounts receivable
* Financial reports including preparation for monthly BAS
* Maintaining the fixed asset register
* Working on Oracle Netsuite, Excel and other in-house systems
* Checking over employment contracts and some general HR duties
* Ensuring parking, access cards and equipment are available
* Office admin including events booking and diary/calendar management
What you'll need to succeed
You're an enthusiastic team player who is proactive and passionate about your work. Known for your multitasking abilities and juggling varied duties, your initiative and forward-thinking approach will make you a valuable asset to the team, along with:
* Proven experience in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping
* Ability to work autonomously, ensuring both personal and team tasks are completed efficiently
* Strong team player mentality, always ready to assist and contribute to the business's success
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems, and other in-house software
* Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring smooth and efficient company operations
* Strong business acumen with a passion for driving the business forward - this is a career, not just a job!
* Ability to be fully in office from 6am to 1pm or 7am to 2pm every day
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
