The role: ACH Group is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join our Procurement team on a full-time basis, based at Mile End. With an annual OPEX spend of $50m+, the Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for a range of procurement categories including property FM, allied health/ medical items and furniture, trades, hardware, and safety systems.
What you’ll do:
* Lead the development of category plans designed to deliver value-for-money outcomes, manage risk and deliver optimal business requirements.
* Build and maintain strong and constructive working relationships with all key stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes for your categories.
* Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organisation.
* Facilitate and manage tendering processes, sourcing deals and delivery and quality for a complete procurement lifecycle.
* Use influence and specialist knowledge to highlight and address issues and develop solutions with consideration for likely business impacts while ensuring stakeholders are actively engaged in the problem-solving process.
* Maintain expert knowledge of supply markets, competitors, and product innovations within your elected categories.
* Focus on governance and risk management for your elected categories, being able to identify and mitigate risks in areas such as modern slavery, continuity of supply and WHS.
* Establish, maintain and report to monitor supplier performance and compliance requirements.
* Work with and support the Head of Procurement to deliver other key procurement and commercial initiatives as required.

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
* Proactive and relationship oriented
You will need:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, Management, Commerce, Supply Chain or similar
* Experience as a Procurement Specialist or Category Manager or equivalent role
* Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, demonstrating excellent behaviours with stakeholders.
* Strong customer service and quality focus
* A Police Check for working in Aged Care less than 12 months old
