ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in Perth and reporting to the National Operations Manager, the primary purpose of the Logistics Manager - West is to be responsible for the strategic level management of the Qube Energy Logistics operations in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, ensuring compliance with all Company, legislative and client requirements.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Analyse State and site results and develop and implement business plans to ensure profitable growth and development opportunities.
* Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term business goals.
* Oversee the strategic planning and coordination of heavy vehicle and driver movements in alignment with company policy, legislative requirements, and accreditation standards.
* Manage the Performance Management process for operational staff, specifically mentoring site managers on best practice performance management techniques.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transport and logistics sector, aligning with the company's strategic goals.
* Strategically manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance and validity of service agreements to support business objectives.
* Oversee the strategic management of transportation operations and network delivery, including fleet and schedule optimization.
* Develop and implement technology-driven and sustainable transportation models and solutions.
* Negotiate and manage supplier contracts at a strategic level to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.
* Analyse state and site results to develop and implement strategic business plans for profitable growth and development opportunities.
* Provide strategic insights through detailed records, reports, and presentations to aid decision-making for the business/operation.
* Ensure strategic growth by retaining and expanding existing client business and establishing new business partnerships.
* Identify business risks and develop strategic management strategies to minimize exposure.
* Oversee compliance with legislative requirements, industrial relations agreements, WHS, and environmental legislation, ensuring alignment with company policies.
* Oversee the management of budgets and P&L at a strategic level to support business objectives.
* Audit the HSE management plan, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and employees
* Sound knowledge and experience of the transport industry and business management
* Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
* Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution
* Ability to work with a small team, leading the team with a proactive approach
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
