Support chemical process design with detailed hydrocarbon analysis data and interpretation.Developing, optimizing, and validating chromatographic methods (GC, GC-MS, GCxGC, HPLC) for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of hydrocarbon samples.Leading the development and validation of new analytical methodologies to enhance hydrocarbon analysis.Collaborating with process engineers to provide analytical support for the design and optimization of chemical processes.Leading R&D projects focused on the development of new analytical methodologies and enhancement of existing techniques.Applying chemometric techniques to analyze complex chemical data sets.Overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring the efficient and safe use of instruments and resources.Mentoring and training junior chemists and laboratory technicians in advanced chromatographic techniques.Leading the design and implementation of a chromatography lab at OMV's Innovation Campus.Your profileUniversity Master's Degree/Diploma in the field of Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar.At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in the field of analytical chemistry.Sound proficiency in chromatographic techniques, particularly GCxGC, GC, and GC-MS, knowledge in spectroscopy (e.g. IR, UV, NMR).In-depth knowledge of hydrocarbon chemistry and analysis, including biogenic hydrocarbons.Strong data interpretation and analytical skills and familiarity with analytical software.Advanced English language skills (German is a plus).What to expect from OMVWe believe that we can only evolve and thrive as a company with a highly diverse mix of employees and by ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
