Job description
In this project you will contribute to the optimization of high volume semiconductor production. With the implementation of machine learning algorithms into our testing- and calibration-systems, we can expect cost savings up to 1 Mio. Euro, by making the process faster and more intelligent.
The goal is to create an ML model, based on existing production data-sets, which can predict calibration results for high accuracy Analog-Digital-Converters.
Tasks:
* Understand the technical requirements and concept of the actual trim-procedure to set boundary conditions.
* Collect and analyze existing data.
* Align with various internal data-science departments to enable the needed IT resources.
* Implement the machine learning model and verify it with available data-sets.
* Work with Test-Development-Engineers on the productive implementation of the solution.
This thesis has to be written in cooperation with a university.

Type of employment: Temporary / Full-time or Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Profile
You successfully meet the requirements if you are a motivated and committed Master student from the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Robotics, or related disciplines. You are best equipped for this task if you additionally offer:
* A background in AI/ML methodologies, excellent coding skills, and already some experience with the analysis of big data-sets.
* Electronics knowledge - understanding the basic working concepts of analog power ICs and/or ADCs as a plus.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, out-of-the-box thinking, and good communication skills.
* Fluency in English, German is a plus.
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (minimum salaries).
