Its key activities are the delivery of industry resources, such as Australian Manufacturing Week, and representation to governments and stakeholders. This newly created role, seek to introduce strategic communications expertise in reaching, engaging and influencing.About the roleReporting to the CEO and working across the organisation, the Senior Communications Manager will engage with members nationally across a range of platforms, focusing on growing, influencing, and diversifying audiences while building strong relationships with stakeholders, the press, and partners. You will also strategically develop and deliver digital communications, manage the website, and drive audience engagement and related projects.Develop and implement a communications strategy to effectively engage with, inform, guide and promote our industry and profile AMTIL’s leadership role.Establish and lead a communications team to address member interests.Oversee the development and delivery of the major industry publication (magazine) and an annual calendar of national events that connect the industry and advance knowledge.Continuously enhance the content, delivery, and impact of AMTIL’s established and emerging communication platforms.Support corporate communications, including external relations for the CEO, President and Board, such as media releases, articles, presentations, and industry advocacy.Work closely with CEO to support future advocacy and government relations to ensure key messaging and alignment on industry issues.Skills & ExperienceDegree or equivalent extensive experience in Communications, Media Public Affairs or Public RelationsMinimum 10 years demonstrated experience in a senior or lead communications role with project management responsibilities and team leadership.Excellent editing and writing skills, with a strong interest in leveraging digital technologies to engage audiences.Self-motivated, positive, well-organised, adaptable, and highly responsible.Passion, knowledge, and exposure to related manufacturing industries would be beneficial; however, leadership and communications excellence are the priorities.Culture / Why work for usAt AMTIL, we foster a collaborative, innovative environment dedicated to supporting Australia’s manufacturing sector.
