This position focuses on securing, coordinating, and managing conference and event bookings.
For the Conference & Event Space: Approximately 1,100 square meters of flexible conference and event space, including multiple meeting rooms and a grand ballroom, accommodating up to 600 guests in a cocktail-style setup. It also has three award-winning Food and Beverage outlets plus a trendy chic and funky street-facing cafe.
The primary goal is to maximize revenue and ensure client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition: Actively seek and secure new clients, including corporate organizations, associations, and private individuals.
2. Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
3. Client Consultation: Understanding the client’s needs, including event size, budget, and specific requirements.
4. Assist in planning event layouts, schedules, and services (e.g., catering, audiovisual setups).
5. Coordinate between the client and internal teams (e.g., kitchen, housekeeping, operations) to ensure seamless execution.
6. Budget management to ensure events are executed within the client’s budget while meeting revenue targets for the organization.
7. Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and invoices.
8. Training and mentoring junior sales or events team members.
9. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the venue or property through advertising, social media, and events.
10. Networking: Attending trade shows, conferences, and local events to expand the client base.
Skills Required:
1. Sales and Negotiation: Strong ability to close deals and negotiate terms.
2. Organizational Skills: Manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication to liaise effectively with clients and teams.
4. Attention to detail: Ensuring no aspect of an event is overlooked.
