About The Role
You are an essential part of the International Finance Team based in Vienna and work with colleagues globally. Your primary focus is to ensure high-quality financial planning and monitoring, and further automate our financial processes and systems. This is a crucial role to ensure Light for the World remains in a healthy financial position and takes appropriate steering measures.
Your Tasks
1. Lead the development of organization-wide financial processes in alignment with other teams (including People & Culture, Accounting, and Project Controlling) to improve efficiency.
2. Oversee cost center responsibilities in different countries, manage quarterly financial planning and monitoring, and conduct relevant training.
3. Prepare and manage staff planning and reporting to generate actionable insights for informed decision-making.
4. Further develop templates and reports in our financial planning and monitoring system to ensure automated and targeted reporting.
5. Conduct the monthly reporting for your respective department and ensure data accuracy throughout the process.
6. Conduct capacity-strengthening activities through training and one-on-one sessions with respective colleagues.
7. Further develop our planning and monitoring system and support strategic projects, such as the implementation of a fully integrated system landscape.
8. Collaborate with an amazing group of colleagues, other teams, departments, and our country offices in the South.
Your Profile
1. Hold a diploma in financial management, controlling, or a related field with at least 2 years of professional experience in these areas.
2. Possess a strong analytical mindset to perform data analysis and the ability to graphically present data and financial figures.
3. Experience in working with accounting databases (e.g., BMD) or planning/reporting software (e.g., Solver and/or Power BI) is a plus but not required.
4. Excellent English skills are essential for working in an international environment (German is a great advantage).
5. Be proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to grow and make things work. Your intercultural communication skills and motivation round out your profile.
6. Be passionate about development cooperation and committed to Light for the World’s mandate and values.
