About the role:
We’re seeking a dynamic Procurement Specialist to manage food sourcing and purchasing for this growing organisation. Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager and working closely with the Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for a mix of operational and strategic procurement accountabilities. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency, timely delivery, and exceptional quality of the raw materials and finished products portfolio.
This is a hybrid role (with flexibility to work from home up to two days a week) and offices based in the Western suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead food ingredient sourcing and purchasing activities.
* Create and execute purchase orders while liaising with internal stakeholders to understand requirements.
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value and quality.
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and develop strategic sourcing plans for key food categories.
* Balance tactical day-to-day tasks with strategic procurement initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and ensure inventory levels align with production needs.
About you:
We’re looking for candidates with the following experience and attributes:
* Strong background in food procurement and sourcing.
* Ability to thrive in an agile environment with a proactive, can-do attitude.
* Experience balancing tactical operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
