To carry out Gatehouse Security duties at a client site in accordance with our standard operating procedures and site instructions, in compliance with all relevant State and/or Federal legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage vehicle movement, access control and visitor passes.
* Inspect trucks and their loads on departure.
* Process emails, administration and required reporting.
* Verify that all individuals issued with a security access card have completed the relevant induction and hold the appropriate approved access level.
* Identify and report any security risks to the client contact and client services manager.
* Conduct a site check at the completion of each shift.
* Issue permanent and temporary staff security access cards, contractor and visitor passes.
* Monitor Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), CCTV surveillance and respond to various site alarms.
* Provide daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, alarms and checks.
* Monitor site entry and access, and assist with responses to security issues raised.
* Exercise traffic control – pedestrian and vehicle gates, intercoms, parking areas.
Qualifications
The applicable Security Licence of the State or Territory in which you work, and a current Senior First Aid Certificate, in accordance with the applicable Security legislation and associated Regulations.
Experience
* A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills
* Advanced Computer Skills – proficiency in MS Office products.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills – verbal and written.
* Report writing and presentation skills.
