Development Manager - Property Investment
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced property development professional to join the dynamic Property Investment team at UnitingCare Queensland and take a lead role in delivering the front-end development strategy for Bokarina Beach Village - a major coastal project on the Sunshine Coast.
UnitingCare Queensland's property team has created real momentum behind this project, establishing a fun, collaborative and highly professional culture that partners closely with internal clients and stakeholders across the business. With the backing of a large, supportive organisation and executive-level engagement, this role is ideally suited to a mid-level development professional with strong feasibility and project planning expertise, looking to work on a high-impact, legacy project.
Your opportunity
As Development Manager, you'll take the reins on the strategic planning, feasibility, business case development and stakeholder reporting for the Bokarina Beach Village project - a landmark 280-dwelling masterplanned development located in Kawana. You will lead workstreams across sales, marketing, operations and finance, working in close partnership with a highly experienced Retirement Living team and supported by consultants across design, planning and delivery.
With around 80% of your time focused on this steering role, the remaining 20% will see you explore new front-end property opportunities - including minor subdivisions, infill expansion projects and repurposing underutilised retirement and aged care assets across Queensland.
What we're looking for
We're seeking a commercially minded property professional with a strong understanding of front-end development processes. You may come from a background in property development, corporate real estate, or investment strategy, with experience in feasibility analysis, project ideation, and stakeholder management. Apartment, residential, or retirement living experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
You'll bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in property, finance, business, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in development feasibility and front-end project strategy
* Financial modelling and business case development skills
* Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting experience - including executive-level updates
* The ability to navigate a complex, values-driven environment with commercial acumen and positivity
