The primary purpose of this contract position is to provide a high level of skill, leadership, and professional knowledge in the delivery of project management consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinating and managing all aspects of building projects including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction activities, and assisting in taking responsibility for the quality and suitability of the building product delivered to the client.
2. Coordinating the activities of other project staff, external consultants, building contractors, managers, and other business units in the achievement of project objectives.
3. Preparation of procurement documentation, and high-level contract coordination in respect to traditional and non-traditional contract systems.
4. Interfacing with clients on day-to-day operational matters.
5. Ensuring all projects are managed to achieve the client’s scope, time, cost, cash flow, and quality requirements and QBuild profitability targets.
6. Ensuring individual project team members involved in the provision of pre-design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction services to clients are engaged, communicated with, and coordinated effectively.
7. Leading negotiations with consultants, local authorities, internal and departmental stakeholders, the client, and contractors to ensure value-for-money solutions are identified and delivered, utilizing experience and professional knowledge to add value to discussions and ensure appropriate stakeholder management is undertaken.
8. Controlling variances by generating exception reports on time and cost aspects of project management and performing project audits to establish project team performance as appropriate.
9. Assisting the Principal Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to determine attainable fees for services under your control and where necessary, generate the approval for the billing of clients.
10. Ensuring all quality assurance procedures within the work area are followed.
11. Prepare monthly project reports and input project-specific data for auditing processes.
