TDG Environmental offers a safe, empowering, and inclusive work environment that is as diverse as the communities in which we operate.The RoleReporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is the Operational Business Partner/Manager to business unit General Managers (field and function) and to the senior team leaders that operate within these teams. You will develop and deliver on the People Plan aligned with the TDG P&C Strategy, as well as provide reactive and hands-on support through direct contact, and through your team, for all day-to-day operational support. Working consultatively with your peers in the P&C Team, you will ensure the workforce is equipped with the future skills needed to meet business objectives. Your role is also to support, coach and advise business unit General Managers across the People & Capability remit and through the employee life cycle.Key Responsibilities will Include:Manage centralised P&C advisory team (including Advisors & Co-ordinators) for Australia & NZ.Recruitment - Create a hiring team and system that delivers on time and with the right people and skills. Where required, create targeted sourcing actions to address hard to fill roles and skill shortages. Support Managers and the People Team with onboarding and induction activities.Industrial/Employee Relations - Guide and train the business, leaders and P&C team with respect to the employee life cycle from performance management through to disciplinary matters. Provide guidance with respect to all employment matters from policy, contractual arrangements to the setup of employment contracts/enterprise agreements for all Australia and NZ employees.Data Driven Insights & Reporting - Provide insightful and business focussed data insights through monthly and ad hoc reporting.Organisational Development - Train and assist managers with performance management processes including, goal setting, performance reviews and calibration. Work with managers to ensure all staff have performance targets and development plans. Act as champion for the annual engagement survey to ensure target completion rates and partner with business leaders on delivery of action plans following survey results.Talent Management and Workforce Planning - Work with managers to ensure regular talent and workplace planning activities are completed and agreed actions are achieved within timeframes.Change Management - Provide advice and support to managers on restructuring and organisational design activities including planning, consultation, communications, and implementation. Support managers to create all required documentation (e.g., consultation packs, individual letters).Leadership - Provide support to managers in employment relations problems, disputes, or issues. This will either be directly or by providing support and counsel to managers and supervisors on how to handle specific situations including possible outcomes and implications to minimise negative employee relations activity. Contribute to the development of, and audit compliance to people policies, standard operating procedures, employment agreements and position descriptions consistent with Company policy, culture, and legislative requirements.Remuneration - In conjunction with CPO, provide advice to managers on remuneration policy, approach, and processes. Provide assistance in the administration of the annual remuneration review processes.Wellbeing & Mental Health Initiatives - Actively demonstrate safe work processes and behaviours and ensure these are followed by all employees and contractors in their place of work. Support the implementation of HSEQ procedures and support and implement company-wide safety initiatives as appropriate.About YouMinimum undergraduate or post graduate tertiary qualification in IR/ER and HR, or related discipline.Proven HR Business Partnering experience, preferably in a complex, blue-collar environment (waste management industry, manufacturing, supply chain & logistics, retail etc).Strong and visible People leadership skills with hands on experience in leading an HR team.Hands on and recent experience within both Australia & NZ IR/ER business environment, including experience in Australia/Fair Work Commission and NZ/Employee Relations Authority running various claims, EBA negotiations and experience in the deployment of an Enterprise Agreement.Working knowledge of NZ employment legislation.Medium to advanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables and numerical competence.Results oriented with strong attention to detail.Hands-on with ability to roll sleeves up to ensure successful outcomes for the business.Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.Strong change and project leadership skills with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders.Proactively contribute to building a positive culture and encouraging a collaborative team environment.Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and high levels of resilience.Exceptional communication and relationship building skills through working with stakeholders for win/win results.Ability to work with a diverse array of people, challenging in a constructive way and build successful working relationships.How To ApplyIf you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, please apply with your resume today by clicking the ‘Apply’ button.TDG prides itself on being a workplace that actively seeks to include, welcome and value the unique contributions of all people.
