You will help solve challenging and strategic issues that have an impact on the network, functions, or chapters by supporting or leading global and functional, overarching initiatives.You drive operational quality with profound, cross-functional knowledge. You support the operational activities of the organization by promoting and developing a strong connectivity with our manufacturing sites to ensure the organization is cohesively delivering overarching product quality strategies that leverage the chapters, networks, process excellence, and our continual improvement efforts.You will be responsible to …Drive business results and customer value:Support the Chapter and RIS with a customer and patient centric mindset.Support Chapter lead as Point of Contact & ensure alignment with Sub-Chapter Leads.Support defining Chapter's key objectives/ KPIs/ OKRs and ensure alignment thereof with the organization’s business strategy.Support developing a long term vision and backlog for the Chapter and its Squads.Advance the work of the Network, making tradeoffs and breaking silos.Partner with RIS on strategic business direction and decisions. Break down silos and improve working effectiveness as an ‘integrator’ across the organization; in particular through collaboration with RIS, Operations, other Networks Leaders, Chapters, and stakeholders to resolve escalated bottlenecks and dependencies, as well as rebalance work & help in line with greater strategic priorities.Empower and enable the Network:Decide if a Squad within the network is needed; lead and moderate Squads, accountable for Squad deliverables across Sub-Chapters.Technical decision making for respective area - having a facilitator role to ensure the team takes a decision.Negotiate with Senior Leadership across the organization to influence decision-making.Be the champion and advocate for Engrained Quality at the Site.Build a culture of continuous improvement and model lean leadership principles.Enable the organization’s New Ways of Working:Act as role-model for Agile Leadership behaviors, as well as for our culture, mindset & behaviors as defined in We@RocheDiagnostics.Model behaviors to support the organization’s transformation to new, more Agile Ways of Working – e.g. new decision making/governance practices, collaboration, etc.Specific job accountabilities:Interface for escalated issues, may act as a proxy for the Network Lead.Can represent the Network in audits and inspections by ensuring we are compliant and conform to established quality processes, standards, and regulations.Is involved in solving unique and unprecedented problems that have an impact on the Network, functions, or chapters.Solves challenging and strategic issues; leads global and functional overarching project teams and Squads, anticipates challenges for the organization; adds innovative and conceptual thinking to the strategy of Quality Operations and The Network.Acts as a coach for colleagues with less experience and helps them to develop their skills/expertise. Can provide onboarding and mentoring activities for new employees as assigned.Provides guidance and feedback to the Network on processes and product technical knowledge.As a Network Technical Lead you:Possess profound knowledge of own area of expertise and broad knowledge of proximate areas.Possess a highly interdisciplinary mindset and coordination ability, a systemic, cross-functional approach to problem-solving activities and customer orientation.Bring a mix of passion, functional knowledge, and customer-focus to your work to inspire, motivate, and lead Squads within the network.Are committed to cross-functional collaboration and breaking down silos to achieve the best results for the organization.Have the ability to navigate within a changing organization, maintaining objectivity, respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication, and consensus building skill.Deliver against the GQ&R North Star.What else do you have in your toolbox:High degree of subject matter expertise:Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Quality Operations and processes.At least seven (7) years in the Medical Device/Pharma/Biopharmaceutical industry with 5 years working in Quality, Compliance, Regulatory and/or Validation, preferred or equivalent experience.Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Life Science, Pharmacy or related subject. Advanced degree is considered an advantage.Excellent knowledge of the European, US, China and International cGMP regulations and demonstrated ability to adequately interpret and implement quality standards.Demonstrated experience in European, US and other relevant Health Authority inspections.Locations:Vienna, AustriaAt the Company's discretion, an exception to the location requirement could be made under extraordinary circumstances.As this position is part of a global organization, international business travel will be required depending upon the business location of the successful candidate and ongoing business project activities.Roche is strongly committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
