Job Description
Senior Frontend Developer - full-time (f/m/d)
contextflow is an award-winning startup developing artificial intelligence-based software applications to support radiologists during their clinical routine. Our innovative medical products strive to bring state-of-the-art deep learning into clinical radiology routine. We are an ISO 13485:2016 certified medical device company and are currently expanding our team providing the unique opportunity to join our software development team as a Senior Frontend Developer.
You will have the chance to play a key role during the development of medical device software products, maintain and extend our existing software product and participate in the development of future products.
As a senior frontend engineer at contextflow, you will support our team in developing and maintaining the web-based frontend of our core product and helping to put our system in production.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will:
1. Lead the Frontend Development for our core product
2. Develop, improve and maintain Applications written in:
* React/TypeScript
* Elm
* Go
1. Lead the transition of the main application from using Elm to React/TypeScript
Requirements
What we are looking for:
1. 5+ years of work experience in web development, build clean and efficient code
2. Architect and plan the frontend structure of new applications, ensuring scalability and performance.
3. Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Extensive experience with React and its core principles.
5. Experience with state of the art frontend unit test frameworks (Jest, …)
6. Version control with git
7. Motivated to learn new technologies (we currently use Go and NodeJs for the backend, Elm and React/TypeScript for the frontend and Nix/Nixos for development environments and deployment.)
8. Experience with GQL (our main internal API technology).
9. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
10. Finding your way around the console
11. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
12. Experience with Elm, React or similar frameworks
13. Work permit in EU or within +-2 hours of UTC
14. Fluency in English both written and spoken
15. Empathy for each other
Bonus Skills:
1. Experience with development of CE-mark or FDA-approved software, following IEC 62304
2. Building front- or back-ends handling large (medical) image data
3. Familiarity with DICOM standard
4. Understanding of general workflow in clinical routine
5. Work experience in the medical domain
6. Experience with Docker and CI
