YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review state-of-the-art electro-chemical-mechanical modeling approaches for automotive batteries.
2. Investigate the fundamental electrochemical aging processes and their coupling with mechanical deformation and cell thickness growth (swelling).
3. Develop mathematical and computational models for battery behavior under different mechanical conditions.
4. Validate the developed models using experimental data.
YOUR PROFILE:
5. Ongoing master studies in the fields of Engineering, Technical (computer science) or Natural sciences (physics, mathematic ...)
6. Strong proficiency in Python
7. Knowledge of battery technology is a plus
8. Experience in mechanical FEA simulations is beneficial but not required
9. High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously
10. Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German is beneficial
