Operations Manager (Fixed Term Contract)
Detector Inspector Essential Services is a commercial fire service company specializing in the maintenance of fire equipment across Victoria.
We service a diverse range of properties, from industrial and retail spaces to large commercial buildings. Our clients include leading commercial real estate agencies, owners' corporations, and facility management firms.
With a strong track record of 30% year-on-year growth, we are seeking maternity leave cover for our Operations Manager role. This is a fixed-term position (12–18 months), with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent management role as the company continues to expand.
About the role
This role requires adaptability, problem-solving, and strong leadership to maintain efficiency across departments.
* Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth workflows and high-quality service delivery.
* Lead reviews and meetings to update and implement company policies and processes.
* Manage field and office support staff, addressing client and site concerns while ensuring efficiency.
* Conduct regular staff check-ins, support technician engagement, and liaise with contractors.
* Assist in final stages of recruitment and interviews.
* Oversee performance reviews, onboarding, training, stock management, and incident reporting, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and addressing any issues.
* Manage scheduling, job execution, sick leave, and out-of-hours calls.
* Coordinate with insurance parties to handle work cover cases and conflict resolution.
* Manage staff compliance with WorkSafe documentation and procedural updates.
* Serve as a key point of contact during Director's leave periods.
